Wednesday, 26-May-2004 2:18 PM Canada joins other nations in expressing concern over the trail of Anwar Ibrahim To: Singapore/Malaysia network Friends, I have been informed by Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade that Canada has joined other nations in expressing its concern over the trial of Anwar Ibrahim. Canada has also pledged its support for Malaysian Prime Minister Badawi's efforts to eliminate corruption and improve its judiciary system. I have expressed the profound appreciation of Amnesty International for Canada's strong support for Anwar and its continuing initiatives to promote human rights protection in Malaysia.
